Farm Info

Néstor Lasso and his brother Adrián stepped into managing their family farm with a different vision from previous generations, choosing to focus on specialty coffee and innovative processing methods. Now in their early twenties, they joined forces with Jhoan Vergara, who also comes from a coffee-farming background, to establish El Diviso.

This collaboration brings together two family farms: El Diviso, run by the Lasso brothers, and Las Flores, managed by Vergara, both located near Pitalito in Colombia’s Huila region. By combining their experience and fresh perspectives, the three producers have been able to elevate the quality and push their coffees in a more progressive direction.

Fully ripe coffee cherries are disinfected, floated, and hand-selected before undergoing controlled oxidation, anaerobic and submerged fermentations with recycled cherry leachates and thermal shock, then precisely dried in dehumidified rooms to 10–11% moisture before being decaffeinated using the **EA (sugarcane) process** at Descafecol.
